Running Honeygain on a Raspberry Pi

By Grumpybrit | Grumpy Rant | 24 Apr 2020

This is just a quick one so let's get started, things you will need.

You can get Emteria OS for free but with the free version you need to restart every 8 hours.

Make an account at https://emteria.com/ and login.  Next go to downloads and download the installer (this is their own SDcard installer and it will download the OS) Full instructions can be found here

Once the card is flashed pop it in the Pi and boot up.  You'll go through some settings before you get to the desktop, once there go to the honeygain site and download for android device and install. Go to settings and go to Emteria settings and set Honeygain to auto start.  That's as simple as it gets.

There are a few known issues with crashes, I've had a couple lock ups but they've been running for 2 days now.

Not tested on the Pi 4 yet cos I don't have one spare.  This is done for testing and fun, I wanted HG to run on a Pi rather than a PC or phone and to be fair it's running ok.

I can confirm Honeygain does payout if you are in any doubt.
