Growing Our Own Part 7

Our beautiful peas, it's cool the way the tendrils coil and grip the string. I can't wait until they are fully grown and proper climbing up and of course producing peas. I can't wait to see what my son thinks, he loves peas.

The beetroots look good. I'm looking forward to these, I'm going to make beetroot crisps and beetroot juice, I like to make smoothies for my toddler with beetroot juice, I've never ate the beetroot crisps but I'm always looking for healthy snacks so fingers crossed these are good.

Our onions and carrots, we planted loads of carrots and onions but we eat a crazy amount of carrots and onions in our house especially carrots, who doesn't love carrots 🥕 The onions feel really strong, they shouldn't be ready for a long time but they look like they're nearly ready... I reckon we planted them too close to the surface.

Our corn, I'm really excited to plant the pumpkin and beans, I can't wait to see them all growing together. The lady at the farm put some fertiliser on these for us, these are dehydrated chicken shit 🐔💩 apparently they are very good for the plants.

I planted 12 leeks, might be a bit too much but we can always give some to family.

I planted 30 purple haze carrots, I'm looking forward to seeing these. They have a cool purple and orange colour. I planted them in the middle of the cabbages, they are supposed to be good companion plants.
