Growing Our Own Part 5

Another day on the farm and everything is looking good.

I think this is a marigold, if it is it's doing better than the others.

Not sure what this is but it's planted where a lot of things are planted like carrot, onion, sunflower and marigolds. I know it's not a carrot or an onion, I don't think it's a marigold so it's either a sunflower or a weed, I left it alone because I wasn't sure.

We planted some red onion, my son planted some.

We found a little helper too.

We planted a goji berry tree, I'm excited about this one goji berries are considered a superfood and I've never ate them, if they don't taste nice we'll probably dry them and use in smoothies.

We planted more potatoes in a potato sack but we had done the last one wrong, we filled it almost to the top and shoved the sprouted spuds into that but you're not supposed to do that you're only supposed to put in enough dirt to cover the spuds and when you see green coming up you cover that in more dirt and you keep doing that until its full. So that's two potato sacks, one with baby potatoes and the other with roosters.

One of the corn we planted yesterday.

Next week we're planting brussel sprouts, cabbages, leeks, beans, purple carrots and broccoli.
