Growing Our Own Part 4

The peas are looking so much better after their seaweed bath and they feel so much stronger.

These were the peas last week before their spa treatment 👆🏻

And this is them today after a week with the seaweed and now that the seaweed has dried it will deter slugs, cats, birds etc... because of its sharp edges and salty taste.

This is the red beetroot looking lovely

And this is the yellow beetroot. Both looking strong and healthy.

Our white onions growing nicely, we're planting red onions tomorrow. We prefer red onions in our house but love both.

These are the marigolds but we made a rookie mistake and planted them next to the wall so they were in shade most of the time and now they look like shite.

I planted my corn and we got some off the lady on the farm so I was delighted we now have 9 corn plants.

I had to plant one of the pumpkins early because it was in the same pot as two of the corns and when I took them out of the pot I thought the best thing to do was pop the pumpkin into the ground because it didn't look good. Hopefully it survives 🤞🏻

I am really enjoying the farm and I know the kids love it. We got more seaweed to throw down tomorrow, we got a lot more this time. Tomorrow we're planting some rooster potatoes, some red onion and we have a goji berry tree. I am also going to finally start weeding, I'm afraid of damaging the stuff we planted but the whole point of this garden is to learn from trial and error so I'm just going to go for it and hope I don't pull up something important.
