Beets - Juiced

I decided to use the red beets for the juice. The juice is for my husband, he loves the stuff.

I am still so amazed we grew all this ourselves.

You must peel and cut off the ends before juicing, they're easy to peel unless you get a wonky one.

I must find a use for the pulp, I had loads of that leftover.

This stuff is like a vampire smoothie. So a little WARNING, a 'learn from our mistakes' moment. My husband drank some of this after I made it and loved it so knowing beetroot is super good for you, he drank a little glass every morning before work and well long story short he got very sick even vomiting, and it was like a massacre, it was like someone was murdered in the sink. I checked it out online because he used to buy beetroot juice from the shop before and drink it all the time with no problems, well I found out you're not supposed to drink beetroot undiluted. Juice 4 apples with 1 beetroot. I had three beets left that we planned on pickling, but instead I juiced them with lovely sweet organic apples, he's drinking it, but he actually preferred the undiluted beetroot juice.

When it comes to beets, it's best to wash everything straight away. I've never had an issue with beetroot destroying the place and staining everything, but I wash everything as I go.
