First Harvest Part 1

Today is a very exciting day, it is our first ever harvest, and we didn't do too bad if I must say so myself.

So many onions.

We got lots of beetroots, my husband loves beetroot, but I think it is rank, it just tastes like muck.

I used to hate onions with a passion when I was younger, but as an adult I love them especially red onions not eat them raw like an apple love.

We got a few potatoes, enough for three days worth of dinners, and a small few for my dad and my mother-in-law. We didn't do so good with the potato sacks, but we didn't really do them correctly, but we did get lots out of the ground.

These are the golden beets, they don't look really golden until you see inside.

The onions we got are pretty big.

We tidied up the rows as well

I can't believe how quickly the time flew by.

We got loads, two big bags, and they are still plenty left to harvest in a few weeks.

We all really enjoyed the whole experience and will definitely keep it up.
