Growing Our Own part 8

Everything is looking great, we had a lot of rain and sun so there was a lot of growth. Our peas have flowered so I think we should have peas soon.

The peas grew loads, they've grown so high already.

This is the pumpkin I had to put down early because it was given to us in the same pot as corn, I really didn't think it would last this long it didn't look good. It still looks a bit sad but it's alive.

The spuds really bloomed. The rain and sun gave everything a boost including the weeds. There were a lot of weeds.

The beets look good. I can't wait to see the difference between the yellow and red beets.

Today was the day to plant the pumpkins, a few died but the lady at the farm had loads spare she kept for us. I think the pumpkins are the ones I'm looking forward to the most, we're gonna carve loads and fill our back garden in pumpkins for Samhain.

I used the powered eggshell on the soil before planting the pumpkins.

I planted some of the pumpkins with the corn and this is where I will also plant the runner beans.

We were given another plot, a fourth one. We were going to say no because the three we already have is enough work but we had loads of pumpkins and decided to just plant a whole row of pumpkins, they don't really need to be weeded because the vines keep weeds away. We might end up with a serious amount of pumpkins but during Samhain we'll have no problem getting people to take a few.
