Powdered Egg Shells

We eat a lot of eggs in this house so I started collecting them, after about a week collecting them I washed them and dried them. I ended up putting them in my dehydrator and they dried up great really quickly.

I pulled off a lot of the membrane thinking that's what I was supposed to do but I read after that you should leave as much on as possible, this is where a lot of the nutrients are.

My nutribullet, I love this thing it blitzes everything up real good.

I blitzed the egg shells, it's important to make sure the shells are completely dried. The smell when you open the nutribullet after blitzing is nasty so stand back because a cloud of it comes out.

I checked online and apparently powdered egg shell if kept in an air tight container will keep for 3 months.

I sprinkled some of the powdered egg shell on the ground where I was planting the carrots. It's full of calcium and other goodies. This isn't something you should use on berries or any plant that needs acidic soil. I don't know if I'd bother doing this again unless I really needed it for some reason.
