PUTIN BOMBARDS KIEV BUT UKRAINE BURNS IT ALL DOWN! πŸ”₯

Today we're talking about the insane escalation between Russia and Ukraine on December 23: Putin unleashes his entire arsenal, but Kyiv hits back at Moscow's economic heart. Get ready, because this story changes the game in the conflict.

Welcome to Commenta La Notizia.

In the night between December 22 and 23, Russia launches a massive offensive against Ukraine. 38 ballistic missiles and over 600 Shahed drones rain down on Kyiv and western Ukraine, targeting power plants directly. The goal? Turn off the lights and freeze the population in the heart of winter, forcing them to surrender. Air raid sirens for hours, three civilians killed, widespread blackouts: Putin's strategy is clear, an attempt to break the Ukrainian spirit right as peace talks waver.

But Ukraine wasn't caught off guard. While Russian drones saturated the skies, Ukrainian intelligence – the GUR – responded with surgical precision. Long-range kamikaze drones hit vital targets deep in Russian territory. First strike: the massive chemical complex in Stavropol, in the Stavropol Krai region. We're talking Lukoil-Stavrolen, the stronghold for producing polymers for Russian drones, munitions, and military gear. Satellite images show towering flames: ethylene cracking units destroyed, production halted for months. A 20% drop in Russian UAVs incoming, and Moscow's army supply chain goes into meltdown.

It's not over there. Further south, in the Krasnodar region, Ukrainian drones pound the Taman oil terminal, a key hub for LPG and crude exports to Asia and global markets. Fuel tanks ablaze, pipelines damaged, ships hit in the port. Russia's Defense Ministry admits the fire but blames "debris": on-the-ground evidence says otherwise. This isn't just fire: it's economic strangulation. Russia loses billions in energy exports, insurance premiums skyrocket, and the Black Sea becomes a no-go zone for Moscow's tankers.

Why right now? It all traces back to two Russian provocations. On December 11, missiles hit Odessa, striking three Turkish ships including the Chen T carrying humanitarian aid: an insult to NATO and global trade. Then, on December 20, another raid on Odessa kills eight civilians. Zelensky blasts "Russian terrorism," and Ukraine adopts symmetric retaliation: you hit our ports, we hit yours.

Let's zoom out: Russia's "fortress" is an illusion. On December 22, a Russian general blows up in his car in Moscow – the FSB investigates Ukrainian links, but panic spreads among elites and oligarchs. In Perm, military trains and fuel tankers burn in remote stations. Result? Kilometer-long gas lines in Crimea and southern Russia, nighttime car siphoning, regime trust collapsing. S-400 systems can't cover 1,000 km of front: protect Moscow, and industry stays naked; cover the factories, and the front crumbles.

Under peace talks, Putin wanted to look strong. Instead, December 23 marks his own goal: missiles on Kyiv cause pain, yes, but Ukraine's counteroffensive is lethal long-term. It destroyed not just infrastructure, but the illusion of invulnerability. Russia, oil giant, begs for gas; its empire burns from within.
