When a President of the USA decides to create a meme coin for himself and his lady and it is purchased by people is it a "pet rock?" You know where you spend your money on something worthless and pretend it is worth the price you pay. Since it does make you and your friends laugh a bit maybe it is worth it. Or will it be the creator of the (meme rock) who gets the last laugh and it will make himself and his family and the people who purchase the (meme rock) a profit.
Oh, the irony of reality.
The turning of nothing into a accepted reality for those who wish to believe.
As I was talking to my son one day years ago and I said to him as we discussed other coins, not tokens as the meme coins are. but I said to him so it may go from nothing to zero and that is the value? This is how I see meme tokens and most crypto coins.
I really do not know why anyone would invest in meme coins except as a lark, like playing the lottery. Yea, you might win something but more likely you will lose it all, as the lottery ticket returns to its intrinsic value of zero once the ticket is scratched or the numbers are drawn and you won nothing.
However, if I were going to place a bet on a meme coin I can see people buying the Trump meme's. No matter how big the joke of it all is people will spend their currency on them.
I would buy a silver coin before I bought any meme token including the Trump line, but many people do not see one of the elements on the periodic table as having value compared to a thin air meme token.
Which would you buy? If you are a very serious crypto head I expect you will buy the meme token instead of a silver coin even though you know its just more junk added to your crypto portfolio of "hard assets" aka bitcoin and other crypto coins which have at least proven themselves with blockchain use. What use a meme token of any kind except to hope you get in early and can dump early to show a profit. Surely you would not hold them to realize a gain over years as they could go puff in the night at anytime.
I find the Trump meme tokens very funny and wonder that people do not see the irony of it it all.
