Is Bitcoin actually REAL? Is crypto actually Real?

Little do I know about crypto, including Bitcoin. I found myself watching the world say Bitcoin is going to be so expensive only the wealthy will be able to by bitcoin. Sounds like another wall street con when you hear that Bitcoin will reach 100K, yet it nearly has. Some say 500K which it may. So does that not mean that even a little bit of bitcoin is going to be worth more than say, Graft, or Cosmos, Forth or whatever as Bitcoin leaves all others in the dust of the demand of the wealth to dump dollars and buy Bitcoin. That is what I am hearing even when the entire world of electronic wealth is suspect at best. Yet Gold in not even 3k and silver has not even topped $50.00 doesn't that seem a bit odd. Real world commodities seem to be left in the wake of digital FOMO.

So as the world plods along and the wars and rumors of war spread digital illusion price rises while real world commodities decline. Um!

I see the wealth and investors pulling money out of the stock market, out of precious metals and going into the electronic digital world of investment. Yet how many of these chains have any real value? Surely meme coins are just a joke and no different than buying a pet rock. There are so many blockchain creations that to find value in one in the real world is to find value that may last. Surely no one believes Ampl will become anything more than a exchange mechanism for currency which was why it was created, but does it have value? Or the Forth governance token what value does it really have?

Can either of them survive once the "shitecoins" have all been washed out of a system that talks about financial freedom but is fraught with problems at many levels of the crypto industry, including scams and frauds.

So I continue to ask myself when I see billions going into crypto, is it real?

I told the story of how I wrote a FOIA request about the CIA or FBI involvement with the creation of Bitcoin and got back a letter stating the government could neither confirm or deny any involvement with the creation of Bitcoin due to NATIONAL SECURITY REASONS. Now if that is not a red flag warning I do not know what is.

So instead of hating on Bitcoin and crypto I simply continue to wonder how deep down the rabbit hole one must fall to find out the truth.

So I continue let my small crypto "investments" sit, as they have been for nearly 5 years I have not bought or sold any crypto at all. I merely sit and wonder if the small amount I "own" will someday be valued more than nearly all other crypto creations currently or in the future. I have already chosen to HODL as it is called and figure it can sit for another 5 or 10 years and let's see what happens.

Yet even six years into owning crypto I still do not think of it as "money in the bank" since I never know if it will continue to hold value or it will one day simply disappear. This is the real problem I have with crypto.

Gold and Silver are not just going to disappear unless someone robs you. Oh, they may go up and down in value related to fiat currencies which also disappear but at the end of the day gold and silver are still a real world commodity and not a electronic digital asset of suspect real world value.
