So, in response to a query from a friend, here is a quick guide to buying crypto in Singapore. 
These are 2 common methods I know of. There might be more, but these are enough for me. 

1) Bank (Transfer SGD to bank account provided by Coinhako) -> @Coinhako (Buy crypto with SGD)

2) Bank (Transfer SGD to bank account provided by Xfers) -> Go to an Exchange that supports Xfers and link Xfers -> @Exchange(Buy crypto with SGD)

3) Gemini. I heard about this, but somehow my account opening was not successful yet. 

For (2) and (3), exchanges supporting Xfers are BinanceSG, Luno and others. 

Any of the above methods will get you access to Bitcoin, Ethereum and a handful of other coins. However, if what you are looking for is more exotic, you need another Exchange. 

- Binance (note this is not Binance SG)
- Huobi
- Kucoin
