With this news of inclusive crypto currency payments by the end of 2021 (tic tok…), fans of the movie theatre chain and crypto enthusiasts everywhere erupted in cheer and support.
It is unknown exactly how or when the chain will approach this decision, as it will require integration into its seemingly outdated legacy payment systems. There have been rumours surfacing that the company could be issuing its own native crypto currency, while accepting a plethora of popular crypto currencies already existing on the market.
It’s truly a sweet sight to see, a movie picture of sorts, the ability to buy delicious buttery popcorn, movie ticket passes, and your favourite candy with the tap of your crypto wallet.
A subsequent rumour that’s surfaced revolving around cryptocurrency topics involves AMC Entertainment harnessing NFT technology to issue collectable items to moviegoers. What could this entail? Well, it could look something like a collectable NFT issued to feature releases, such as a digital movie ticket, brand collections, feature film related artwork collectables, and much much more.
