As 2024 comes to an end, I'm here typing this post using one finger on my right hand, after a bad fall just before Christmas wiped out the use of my left arm for a while. Five hours in a hospital confirmed it to be a break in the upper part of the humerus, or upper arm bone, close to the shoulder joint, otherwise known as a proximal humerus fracture!

I go into 2025 knowing there will be a delay until I’m truly going, but that has one advantage, I have a bit more planning time rather than rushing straight in.

A new year brings new opportunities, and it’s up to us to make the most of those opportunities. While searching for a thumbnail for this post, I felt the quote on the one I chose was quite appropriate. A new year could be a blank book, and if you hold the pen you can write your own story, so why not take the opportunity to write something great for yourself… then make it happen!

The quote has got me thinking, I know where I want to be this time next year, call them goals or the ending… now I’ve just got to figure out how to reach them, and can assure you, there will be many chapters written between now and then!
