Misconceptions about "The Merge" that people are not very clear about.
The merger is approaching and the euphoria around Ethereum is growing (once again, will this be the good one?). It is the most used blockchain and with the highest market capitalization, so if you are starting in this world, it is likely that you already own more Ethereum than I do. But the other day I was talking to a friend who told me that with this merger the network would be faster and less expensive, so I see myself today writing this post, maybe can help someone else.
The Merge will not lower gas fees on Ethereum and still will not support 100,000 transactions per second upon completion (if not postponed again) of the merger. The ETH you have in Staking cannot be withdrawn until 6/12 months after The Merge.
There are these and some more concepts that people misunderstand on their website.
