If you've never heard of the game "werewolf" watch this short explanation, I've heard of it under a different name but the rules and consequent outcome were pretty much the same.

Right, so what does that have to do with a modern day sicherheitsdienst who spy on and terrorize millions of civilians?

Oh btw, that mass surveillance thingy had no impact on the prevention of foreign intelligence assets setting up pedo networks and extorting your country's politicians and billionaire business owners either, just sayin. But jeez, 2014? This has not only been going on for over a decade now, but quite literally amplified due to AI.

Speaking of which, they are now refusing to cooperate and would like to pretend Epstein and his network didn't exist at all, because otherwise it could only mean A) there is no benefit whatsoever to civilians on them being spied upon amass if they couldn't even detect this or B) Epstein was somehow affiliated with the NSA or at the very least had his own insiders.

Yup, a totally normal and healthy "democracy." And that's the whole point I'm trying to make. What's the point of democracy if the majority knows nothing and the few "werewolves" have all the info they need? Remember how it ended for the uninformed majority in the game? You could literally be voting for someone who is a redacted name in the Epstein list who is susceptible to threats and extortion, or you could be deciding to shoot (cancel) the wrong/innocent person, all made possible because the "werewolves" are sitting on this treasure trove of information which they refuse to share.

Recently I spoke to someone online who tried to cope his way out of the conversation he himself started about guns and democracy in the US, he convinced himself that it was all working the way it should because he could hold on to his guns and just go vote for someone else next time and write his representatives to express his dismays.
