Using Google Chrome? Then your PC just became their storage device and AI playground

Sincerely no idea who in their right mind would use anything Google has to offer, I'm not exaggerating when I say that I haven't used its search engine on my PC for years now.

Occasionally, when I do need to cross reference something like research a certain crypto or find a very old news article in cache mode, I use numerous search engines and yes only then also Google, but the Google one is literally the only one I use on a different device and in incognito mode because I don't trust them for a millisecond.

So what have they been doing on your device if you use Chrome? You might want to check this folder: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data\OptGuideOnDeviceModel

The turbo dotard espionage geeks at Google have taken it upon themselves to download and install their AI model on your device without asking anyone. And even if you uninstall it, as long as you use Chrome they will detect it's been deleted and just re-download it.

It's called weights.bin and with it you effectively power their Gemini Nano. So what does it actually do? "It powers built-in AI tools such as “Help me write,” smarter tab suggestions, on-device scam detection, and page summarization. The download triggers automatically for devices meeting minimum hardware requirements, and Chrome often replaces the files if deleted".

The link above also details how you can get rid of it, but why on earth anyone would still use Chrome after this is beyond me.

So yeah, I guess Google is learning from Bitcoin and adopting "decentralization", but when was the last time Satoshi spread malware to Bitcoin users and used their resources for his own benefit? What Google is doing is as if Bitcoin would use your processor and VGA to mine BTC, but then have the rewards not go to you but to their own wallets.

Reminds me of a time UTorrent went insane and did something like this. Difference between UTorent 15 years ago and Google today however is that UTorrent was not a multi trillion Dollar company who also sold your data for money. This is so pitiful and insane of Google there are literally no words for it.

Things are almost never as they seem. If you sincerely think that world powers would spend their money and resources in order to just "help" citizens from foreign nations, you might want to ask yourself why they've been neglecting and out right murdering their own citizens for decades. What are their true motives for wanting to fund foreign (terror) groups, start global confrontations and wars? I'll let you in on a little secret; It has NOTHING to do with "human rights" nor "democracy".
