Mt. Gox messed up again for old times' sake

Mt. Gox. What more is there to say after all these years? Apparently still plenty. The hacked exchange which ended with the words "We had weaknesses in our system and our bitcoins vanished" is continuing their streak. This time due to double spending via Paypal transfers. I know I know, decentralized Bitcoin, centralized Bitcoin exchange, returning to the issue of double spending, it's almost too satirical to believe yet here we are:

"Mt. Gox, suffered a notorious hack that stole 850,000 Bitcoins from the platform. Victims are finally starting to get their money back on Tuesday, nearly 10 years later. However, some are reporting Mt. Gox accidentally sent “double payments”....victims finally started to see repayments hit their PayPal accounts on Tuesday....The victims of the Mt. Gox hack can’t catch a break. The email from Mt. Gox says some users received two identical payments, the first was the official repayment, while the second was an error, which the trustees would like to be sent back. Users on the Mt. Gox insolvency subreddit expressed frustration that after 10 years of waiting, they are still not done with this fiasco. Mt. Gox has yet to release an official comment on the situation, so many of these details are still unclear."

This is just picture perfect. If it were a Mr Bean episode people would say that no one could possibly be that incompetent. If it were a SciFi people would say that's way to fictional for anyone to believe. If it were a horror people would not get scared because they could not possibly worry about all these different variables going wrong, if so then they might as well start worrying about getting struck by lightning in the blistering sun. If it were comedy no one would laugh because what are the odds of this actually happening, and yet somehow it did. Centralized Mt Gox actually used centralized payment service Paypal, which itself already jumped aboard the crypto train, to refund a portion of the stolen Bitcoins that were recovered 10 years later and they still managed to further disappoint and infuriate their former clients.

Well, not all clients I believe. For those that received the payout twice and didn't send it back found the most unique and bizarre method to double their investment I guess.😂 But that should actually not be a problem if Paypal acts fast enough. If they can take 2.500 Dollars from your account for spreading "misinformation", surely they can stop people from running away with other peoples' money right?

Things are almost never as they seem. If you sincerely think that world powers would spend their money and resources in order to just "help" citizens from foreign nations, you might want to ask yourself why they've been neglecting and out right murdering their own citizens for decades. What are their true motives for wanting to fund foreign (terror) groups, start global confrontations and wars? I'll let you in on a little secret; It has NOTHING to do with "human rights" nor "democracy".
