The "second" Winter is getting to come closer this year. In this case it's not the negative Crypto Winter 🐱👤. Everybody is looking forward for white and frozen landscapes and warm evenings with their families at the fireplace 🤦♂️ Blah blah, I'm already stopping 😂 But why I'm saying second Winter? How many complete Winter seasons a year is containing, 1, 2, 0 or just a combination of all? Eh what?
The answer to the second question is zero. What? Did the calendar always lie to us? 😱 Of course not. Per definition of a complete Winter season the period expands from beginning of the Winter Solstice until the first day-night equinox of a year.
- The Winter Solstice happens on the 21st of December or the 22nd of December. The Winter Solstice marks the shortest day in the year.
- The Winter in 2022 begins at the 21st of December at 10:47 pm
- The first day-night equinox happens on the 19th of March, 20th of March or 21th March. On the day-night equinox the daytime is as long the nighttime
- The Winter in 2023 ends at the 20th of March at 9:24 pm
Because every Winter season is expanding over two years. every year is containing two incomplete Winter seasons, which is the answer of the first question.
I wish the Nicholas was busy for everyone and the Santa Claus will also do so. Enjoy the Winter and the time with your family.
