Legalize to better prohibit
After the ban for Venezuelans to be able to trade and the ban to use services like Coinbase, there is now a huge contradiction because now an act of legalization of mining has been drafted.
Decision No. 084-2020, published in the Official Gazette No. 41.969 of September 21, 2020, establishes the subject matter of the decision and its scope, as well as everything related to mining permits, granting and renewal, digital mining, the national digital mining pool and the General Registry of Miners.
A license is mandatory and will be issued by the Venezuelan government that states
Thus, it will be created in the Integral Registry of Minors, which will facilitate the processing of permits via the Internet. The necessary information must be provided, such as personal data and specification of the type of mining activity that will be carried out. Likewise, licenses will also be granted to those who wish to manufacture ASIC equipment or build mining operations in the national territory.
Obviously the license to have the right to do crypto mining is to be paid for.
And anyone involved in mining has to keep records of activities and records for ten years, all of which is completely absurd and goes against what Bitcoin represents, the Blockchain and the will of a decentralized ecosystem.
