Sichuan: Mining farms destroyed

Extremely heavy rain fell on the province of Sichuan creating mudslides and landslides particularly dangerous for the population. There have already been several deaths due to this disaster, and the electrical network has also suffered significant damage and has not been able to power part of the Province for several days .

After this important destruction of mining equipment no sign of hashrate loss could be observed, while Sichuan Province is known to be the Chinese "capital" of Bitcoin mining, China has the most miners.

A report by Coinshares estimates that 60% of the world's mining activity takes place in China, while 50% of the world's hash comes from Sichuan Province. Therefore, this location is particularly important for the Bitcoin network.

In any event, this is not the first time the area has been affected by such floods, not the last .
