I recently published a post about Rollercoin, a mining simulator game in which I was going through the basics of the game. In this post, I'll take a look at a couple of ways to earn more mining power and eventually more tokens.

What I've Learned So Far

If you don't want to play the mini-games the whole day(And who does?) but still want to keep up with the others and keep your mining power high, you should focus on these games: Token Blaster, Crypto Hamster, Cryptonoid and Lambo Rider even thought this one is a pain in the ass because of its crappy design. These four games reward you with the most power, about 2-3 times more than some other games.

I only play the other games if they are featured on the daily tasks or if some special event is going on and I need points for it.

Trading For More Mining Power

Here is an example of my daily schemes to maximize my power and therefore my gains:

I sold Deepdiver for 5.2 RLT and Helltaurus for 12 RLT - that's 17.2 RLT in total. These two miners have a total power of 47,300 Gh/s and 0.25% bonus power.

I then bought the Dream Demolisher 3000 for 19.2 RLT. This powerful miner has 70,000 Gh/s and 2% bonus power.

So, by paying only 2 RLTs extra I managed to gain 22,700 more mining power and 1.75% more bonus power!

For More Patient Traders

Dia De Muertos -event ended this week. In this kind of event, you gather points for prices. To get these points you either have to play the mini-games or buy stuff. I noticed that many players were selling and buying back the same miners and that way gathering points. I have to admit that I did the same: buy, sell, repeat. This obviously dragged the miner prices down and now that the event is over those prices are going up again.

I'm pretty sure that during the next season there will be a similar event and I will then have a different approach to it. I'll be monitoring the prices and buying cheap, holding till the end of an event, and starting to sell when the prices have gone up again.

More Trading Opportunities

One other interesting way to make a possible profit is to buy and sell miner parts. During the Dia De Muertos -event there was also this crafting offer in which you need a certain amount of parts to craft a miner. Needless to say that this created a huge demand for the parts and the prices went sky-high.

This event is also over now and I'm waiting for the next one, accumulating parts at cheaper prices and waiting for the time when there is demand again.

Upcoming Stuff

There is an ongoing battle in which players can vote for the next minable coin on Discord. Since Rollercoin doesn't have the possibility to swap coins I'd probably choose LTC so I could easily send my gains to Hive-engine.

Conclusion

I don't have the time or the energy to grind through the mini-games all day so these opportunities are essential to my game. I'll keep in mind the fact that I'm also competing against other players since we are all sharing the block reward. I'm in it with a free-to-play attitude and realize that I therefore cannot compete against the players pouring lots of money into the game. Still, hopefully in the future, I'll make this a decent stream of passive income.
