Rollercoin has been around for a while now and I've put some effort into it now and then but have given up and then started again.

Back in the day, it was all about grinding and buying miners. A couple of weeks ago I noticed a whole new side to it. They've finally introduced the long-awaited marketplace to the game and now I'm hooked!

About Rollercoin

For those of you who don't know anything about the game, it's basically a mining simulator with a set of mini-games. By playing these short games you'll get yourself some mining power. This can be used to mine coins such as BTC, ETH, DOGE, MATIC, BNB, and the in-game toke, RLT.

Mining power received from games is not permanent and will decrease over time. However, you can use your rewards to buy miners and stack them on your racks. This power is permanent. More power, more block rewards. Just like in real life.

Seasons

There are seasons in Rollercoin that will last a couple of months each and by completing certain tasks you will advance on the timeline and get different rewards. Some of these are free but some require the event pass which costs RLT. I'm not gonna pay for that directly but instead, I'm going to sell a couple of miners to get that RLT for the next season.

Dia De Muertos

This is a sort of special event that has kept me busy for about a week now. It rewards you with POINTS by either advancing in games or using RLT to buy stuff. POINTS will get you miners and other perks. For me, it seems impossible to get the miners I want by simply playing games but fortunately, I've found a way to advance faster...

Flipping Miners

So here's the trick: to get more event points and therefore more miners, I've been selling and buying miners constantly. Sometimes I've managed to make a small profit but usually, it ends up with a very tiny RLT loss and that's because of the fees. However, I've calculated that this can be tolerated because of those very good prices (miners) and the RLT I would get by maybe selling them in the future.

Crafting

There are three miner parts in the game: wires, fans, and hashboards. If you have two miners of the same type you can merge them together using parts. This will add up to the hash rate, bonus power, and of course the value of a miner. The common miner will then become uncommon and so on. All the way up to the category - unreal.

Is it Worth It?

Well, this one is truly going to be a marathon! Just by looking at the leaderboard and the mining power of the top 10 you gonna realize that the road is long. Besides that, I know that some players are pouring lots of crypto into the game while I'm all about f2p.

However, I still believe it's all about consistency and now that we are able to trade, one can get the advantage by putting some effort into it. I've already come up with some cunning strategies and set up my goals.

Conclusion

Before the marketplace, it was really frustrating from a free-to-play point of view. You either had to grind like crazy by playing mini-games or just put your money into it. As for me, I'm glad I can now sell those miners I've managed to get throughout the years and now do some math and try to get even more powerful miners.

Overall, the general feeling is that there is just so much more to do within the game and that has really got me addicted. Let's roll!
