The new president of the United States of America announces that he wants to make his country a global center for artificial intelligence and cryptocurrencies.
The World Economic Forum has met annually since its creation in 1971. The WEF was founded in 1971 by Klaus Schwab, a Swiss-German economist and professor, with the aim of encouraging global cooperation on political, social and economic issues. The aim of this international non-profit organization, now headquartered near Geneva, was to bring together representatives from the public and private sectors to discuss solutions to global problems.
During his remote address to the participants of the World Economic Forum, US President Donald Trump held a conference and announced significant changes from the previous administration. Donald announced that he wants the US Federal Reserve (the Fed) to continue lowering its key rates. While central bankers themselves are reluctant to further lower these interest rates, the players in the “risk-on” asset markets (such as equities and cryptocurrencies) are waiting for further declines to buy massively.

The 47th US president also spoke directly about the Bitcoin (BTC) sector. Indeed, before the assistance of international finance of the World Economic Forum, Donald Trump said he wanted to make the US the «global capital of artificial intelligence (AI) and cryptocurrencies». Just minutes before Donald Trump’s speech at the Davos Forum, Senator Cynthia Lummis was elected chair of the Banking Committee on Digital Assets by the US Senate. The latter, very favorable to the sector, announced clear rules for cryptocurrencies, as well as the urgency of establishing a reserve in Bitcoin for the United States.
