Cryptocurrencies are a major innovation for finance, the redistribution of assets and properties opens the way to a more just and decentralized economy.
Despite this major innovation for our company, blockchain has quickly faced a major problem. How can the field of action, limited to finance, be extended to other sectors? After only a few years, Ethereum has brought the first answers with smarts contracts. Decentralized contracts have emerged, opening the way to new applications. The application of smart contracts remains however mainly focused on financial aspects (financial contracts).
Yet the advantages of blockchain technology are numerous. Notably, asset traceability (real or digital). The NFT is an invention related to this feature. But the next level that blockchain can offer us is the decentralization of protocol other times reserved to digital industry giants such as maintaining communication network, storage, data protection or computing power sharing. We are talking about decentralizing infrastructures, hence the name DEPIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks). These new application fields open up enormous prospects for blockchain projects.
The DEPIN projects are numerous, yet the complexity to make them successful is enormous. Before investing in these projects, I urge you to be very careful because many projects are at risk of disappearing. However, those who will succeed in developing over time have a bright future ahead of them. Here is a general overview of the main DEPIN projects.
The list is still long, for your mental health and mine, I will not continue this list. The goal is to show you that there are many projects but usually simple copies or sometimes worse, there is nothing behind. I therefore urge everyone to be cautious because there will certainly be happy with their investments in this sector but there will also be many disappointed.
Some projects already generate money but they are few in number. Obviously some projects will become profitable and efficient over time but this gives us a good current image of the ecosystem. There is little doubt, however, that some of these ecosystems will survive and become profitable for both users and early investors.
