Just two days ago, I explained in one of my articles the major success of Chainlink with its collaboration with the interbank network SWIFT to implement tokenization.
The recent announcement by Chainlink is making a big splash as it is a world first. Chainlink, Microsoft and Banco Inter are collaborating on the CBDC project in Brazil. Another performance that marks a new stage in the crypto ecosystem. The central bank of Brazil has just announced the launch of its DREX project (phase 2), which will include a Chainlink platform.

Many states will be watching this new development very carefully and if it is a success it could open a new door for blockchain. New markets that could attract several trillion dollars. The big news is the implementation of the eBOL protocol. This is actually a form of smart contract that will automatically trigger payments when importing/exporting goods. The DvP (Delivery versus Payment) and PvP (Payment versus Payment) systems will guarantee ultra-secure transactions in the process.

Chainlink’s CCIP system allows for automation and secure exchange between DREX and other central bank cryptocurrencies. For now this is not the case but the implementation will be very simple, other decentralized cryptocurrencies could also enter the process. Indeed, with the announcement of developments on the JRE network on SWIFT, it will be very easy to add them to such protocols.
