Gala Games, known for its innovative approach to gaming and blockchain integration, has once again captured the attention of enthusiasts with its Music Nodes. At its core, Music Nodes represent a novel concept where node owners can not only contribute to a decentralised music platform, but can earn passive income daily.
The premise is simple yet clever. Music Node operators help curate, create, and distribute music directly within the platform. This paradigm shift marks a departure from the traditional music industry, where music, songs and artists are often monopolised by the large record labeling companies.
At the heart of Music Nodes is the concept of ownership. Just as players can own digital assets within games, they can now own and operate Music Nodes, giving them unprecedented control over the music within the gaming ecosystem. This ownership extends beyond mere possession; it encompasses the ability to create, remix, and share music, fostering a vibrant community of creators and enthusiasts.
Whatsmore, Music Nodes have the potential to reshape the gaming industry’s relationship with intellectual property rights. By utilizing blockchain technology to track ownership and usage rights, Gala Games ensures that creators are fairly compensated for their contributions. This transparent and decentralized approach not only benefits musicians but also promotes a culture of respect for artistic integrity within the gaming community.
Let’s take a little deeper dive into the passive income aspect
Currently, Music Nodes can be purchased for approx $1,500 (payable in the the native cryptocurrency token $Music).
In order to earn rewards, operators must keep their Music Node running for at least 6 hours per day (running the node is incredibly easy and can be done either on a standard laptop/computer or on a VPS).
Daily earnings for running a node are around 70 $Music tokens per day. The $Music to USDT pairing is currently priced at $0.10, so this works out at round $7 per day/ $210 per month/$1,500 per year.
Furthermore, the daily earnings should increase as more artists, tracks and songs are onboarded. Although I would caveat this as the platform is still in its infancy stages.
Operators can run more than one music node per day, but these will need to be run on a VPS, which can cost around $20 per month.
Final Thoughts
As Gala Music continues to expand its ecosystem and attract a diverse range of players and creators, Music Nodes stand as a testament to the transformative power of innovation. By bridging the gap between gaming, music, and blockchain technology, Gala Games has laid the foundation for a new era of interactive entertainment where players are not just consumers but active participants in shaping the cultural landscape.
I for one, am excited about this project. If you want to find out more about Gala Music, click here.
