The virus can be destroyed by very high temperatures, which are close to the boiling point. However, lower temperatures around 60 degrees Celsius not only survive, but are also able to multiply in them. This was demonstrated by research carried out on vertebrate cells.

Knowledge is important for the security protocols of many viruses that work with viruses. Standard protocols provide for an hourly cleanup at 60 degrees, which should eliminate all viruses. Now it is necessary to switch to other protocols, because the coronavirus can survive these temperatures. On the contrary, it can no longer survive at 90 degrees.

According to Charrel, this cannot be relied on too much and there is no indication yet. The fact that the virus does not matter is also evidenced by the case described by Chinese scientists. They came across an outbreak of a group of people from Jings City who became infected from each other in a sauna. In the sauna, eight people became infected with coronavirus, including one member of the spa staff. The temperature in the sauna was over 45 degrees Celsius and the humidity over 60 percent. Nevertheless, the coronavirus spread very quickly. The world will simply have to come up with a different strategy than waiting for the warm weather, unfortunately this is probably not the way to go.
