this game is awesome!

Check out this awesome game! Skyweaver is F2P/P2E on Matic!

Hello fellow cryptonauts! I would like to pass on to you an awesome TGC game on the blockchain that, in my opinion, is significantly better than Splinterlands. It is called Skyweaver, and it has HUUUGE 1000xLOL gem potential!!

Cryptoboi jokes aside, a Discord netizen introduced me to this game and I have been playing it for about a month. I genuinely enjoy it most of the time, unlike many other blockchain games that feel more like chores than games.

You can see some screenshots in this post (the artwork is beautiful, I know). If you enjoy entering blindly into projects based on nothing but strangers' recommendations and a quick glance at the website/interface, look no further than here for my referral link to get started: Join Skyweaver Beta.

As overzealous as you may be, perhaps you should stick the source of that hyperlink through a malicious URL checker before you head there yourself. You can use this one: https://www.ipqualityscore.com/.

Okay, now that you have done that, here are some answers to the most common questions that I always have before playing a new blockchain game:

1. What blockchain is it on?

That's an easy one; it was in the title. The game is on Matic.

2. Can I earn money playing it?

You can earn USDC and in-game assets that can be sold on Opensea or the in-game marketplace. The Opensea collection is linked. Prices of the assets are pretty good.

noice!

3. Do I have to pay to play?

No, you can play the game and earn non-tradeable assets for free. You can also earn sticker points for free, albeit not that many, which you can exchange for stickers, which are tradable NFTs and act as emojis during gameplay. You can also earn sticker points from referrals, hence why I would like you to use my referral code when you decide to play the game.

If you pay for the game, though, you will earn significantly more. You can buy a season pass for ~9-14 USDC on polygon (it varies) or a flat $14.95 with a credit/debit card and you will earn tradeable assets like silver cards, stickers, and card backs just for leveling up. You can earn gold cards too if you are a good player. The cost of the assets you receive if you make it to level 50 in a season are greater than or equal to the cost of the season pass. You don't need to make it all the way to level 50 to earn rewards, but you get the card back at level 50, which makes up the bulk of the trading value. Since they are limited-time NFTs, speculators may expect their prices to increase with time. You can also buy and sell cards to augment your deck, which you might want to do as your ranked battle ranking increases.

4. Is it fun?

Yes, as noted previously, I genuinely enjoy playing the game. It is a turn-based card battle strategy game. There is a lot more depth than games like Splinterlands and Hearthstone, but it is also easy to start playing. You start out using pre-built decks and single-element heroes, but as you level up and earn more cards, you can use dual-element heroes and build your own decks with the cards that you obtain. The deck-builder interface is great, and there are some very powerful cards waiting to be won as you level up. As noted before, you should try to get to level 50 on the season pass in order to maximize your benefits whether or not you choose to pay for the game. This is not difficult; it can be done in a few days of heavy grinding or quite easily if you play casually from the beginning of the season.

5. What is the gist of the gameplay?

Your main character is called your hero. There are currently 15 available heroes to choose from (if you get to level 50 in a season, free or paid). You win the game when you defeat the enemy hero. The other character cards have attack points, heart points, abilities, spells, and enchantments. You add character cards and spell cards to your deck. Each card has a mana cost. You start the game with 1 mana point (plus a mana crystal) and gain one max mana point each turn.

6. How do I secure my assets?

You have to make a Sequence wallet to play the game. This is a multi-sig wallet similar to Kukai (if you're familiar with Tezos) that associates your private key with your account. As a result, access to your wallet will be as secure as the account or password that you choose to secure it with (which is pretty top-of-the-line security nowadays). Your game assets are stored in this wallet by default, but you can send them to a different wallet if you want.

7. Wait, I don't get access to my private key?

Good catch. You don't, but neither does anyone else. This model doesn't necessarily make the wallet less secure, but does make it easier to onboard non-crypto people. You are free to send any assets you receive to a different wallet, but you must keep assets that you want to use to play the game in your Sequence wallet. Multiple blockchains are supported, however the game assets are all on matic.

8. Awesome, sign me up!

Great choice, here is my referral link again: Join Skyweaver Beta. As noted at the top, please check all links from unknown sources before clicking on them. Using my referral link gets me sticker points every time you level up, and stickers can be used in-game or sold on a marketplace.

If you don't trust any link (which is also okay), you can copy and paste my sequence wallet address into the prompt at https://play.skyweaver.net/invite-friends/rewards.

This is my sequence wallet address: 0x8E9137C05495B1B77959d681900bDE28a5A5e5CA

Thank you for reading and happy playing!
