Energy boosters remain one of the least understood (and undervalued) NFT assets in the Guild of Guardians metaverse. These tokens, however, have the potential to be absolutely game-changing and hold immense value for players seeking to maximize their time investment into the game.
The Guild of Guardians Whitepaper puts it simply and succinctly:
[An energy booster] allow players to use their favourite heroes for longer without suffering penalties to Hero Stats
So, how does that work?
Like many strategy RPG games on the market, Guild of Guardians has an energy system. Every time a player goes into a dungeon, their pool of energy is depleted. This pool will recover over time. In addition to the energy pool needed to enter a dungeon, individual heroes will become fatigued if they enter too many dungeons in a given day, reducing their stats and effectiveness.
Energy boosters are permanent NFTs that can be used on a cool down to offer a boost to available energy, allowing players to enter more dungeons each day. But an energy booster’s effectiveness does not end there.
An energy booster will cause a player’s heroes to become fatigued at a slower rate, reducing the rate at which their stats would suffer. This means that a player can continue to use their favorite or strongest hero for a longer period of time each day.
Energy boosters will allow a player to use their best or favorite team more often and complete more dungeons and challenges each day, providing an important and significant boost. Players with an energy token will be better positioned to play longer and take on greater challenges, resulting in greater opportunities to acquire loot from dungeons. Energy boosters may be one of the most valuable NFT assets available to serious gamers and players.
