The Race Continues

Run and run, I have to
The race never ends,
Or so it seems to me
Tired and breathless.

Still, it goes on and on
With no ending in sight,
Stop, I want to, right now
My screams no one hears.

My head hurts, it does
But what can I do?
I'm just a puppet or robot
Ordered to do what's wanted

And so, on and on I go
Even to the point of burnout,
Energy level at negative
Battery almost FLAT.
