You may be a slow starter,
But never be a quitter.
There are many ways,
In completing a race.
Crucial to have determination,
In every participation.
The companionship,
Will fuel your sportsmanship.
No concern ‘bout lagging behind,
You’ll make it to the finishing line.
Though you’re not fast,
There’s no shame in being last.
Give yourself a good run,
Most importantly, have fun.
Winning or losing is immaterial,
As the friends made are real.
