Optimism

Cash is useful in many ways,
Especially on rainy days.
Can’t have too much money,
As it sweetens life like honey.

But it’s a sad fact,
And I say this without tact,
It’s not news to the community,
I’m short of this commodity.

For my food is never enough lard,
Car, most suited for the junkyard,
My shoe has a gaping hole,
Clothes, trends of decades ago.

While in this hardship,
I still try to be hip.
I’m not up to the grade,
But I still think life is great.
