Never take this Earth for granted,
Up-root the trees planted.
Nobody is the owner ---
We’re all just protectors,
And not violators;
Or the eco-system is a goner.
The world is for us to enjoy,
And not destroy ---
If we don’t follow the rules,
Can we show our children
The shape of a fern?
Can they tell cows from mules?
Mother Earth we should preserve;
Let the young observe,
For seeing is believing.
We can hold our heads high,
If birds continue to fly;
And there’s a home for all living.
