Do Tell

By emily2u | From the Heart | 5 Jan 2021

To see you weep
In despair,
Hurts me deep
Because I care.

To disclose, you refused,
Why your spirits are low.
Of an act, were you accused?
Did you meet an old foe?

I can only guess ---
You’ve given me no idea.
I’ll get you out of this mess,
So, do tell me, my dear.

I’ll lend you my shoulder,
Hoping you’ll feel better.
It’s as solid as a boulder,
And fits you to the letter.
