There are many reasons why someone may want to invest in crypto/Bitcoin, without actually buying the asset itself, they may not be happy with managing their own security/keys, but also not want to leave it on an exchange, they may want to invest through something like a pension scheme, which in some countries doesn't all crypto investments and can only use traditional stock brokers, they may want to invest in crypto but also hedge with a company that is diversified into other areas also so not 100% reliant on crypto. This discussion is not about the pros/cons of this option, but more what options there are. Personally, I prefer to buy my crypto and look after it myself, however there are situations where this may not be practical or possible and there isn't much to help people who want to consider this option.
Obviously with current stock market conditions and crypto bear market, most of these companies stocks are way below ATH, so could represent a good buying opportunity, but these are by their very nature risky investments - do not invest more than you can afford to lose and be aware they may well have further to drop before we hit the bottom. Even if Bitcoin does well in future, will these companies have enough resources and diversification to survive the bear market?
What options are there?
The main options would be:
1) crypto ETFs
2) investing in companies whose primary or secondary business is related to cryptocurrency - trading/mining etc..
3) investing in companies that have large amounts of crypto as a business asset, they may or may not be involved with crypto as their primary business
Obviously 2) and 3) will have some overlap.
Crypto ETFs
These are starting to become more available, but there are still regulatory hoops to jump through and in many jurisdictions they are not currently available, Grayscale are looking to provide one in the US for example. May be more of an option in the future. There is also a Grayscale 'Future of Finance' ETF which is not primarily crypto based but does include a number of companies with crypto/blockchain based technologies.

Obviously these lists are not exclusive and is just to encourage thinking outside the box and to encourage those who have experience in stock markets but haven't yet included crypto exposure to their portfolio to consider these options. There are many other crypto related companies, and may well be others in future that are not currently publicly listed. Just like cryptocurrency itself, these businesses will/may be highly volatile and are very high risk investments, approach with caution!
