The United States government started as a decentralized government. There was no central bank. There was no Income tax. The states held the real power(and still according to the constitution do). That power was split up on purpose.  While not a perfect analogy, you could view the states at that time like nodes on a blockchain.  The interface/api or smart contract as the Federal Government. Any change in the Federal government had to be agreed upon by the nodes.

Currently, there are no more nodes. Unlike a real smart contract, governments attract a certain type of people. Those people want more power. They can't get this without centralization. They will change the code until they get what they want.  The states are now simply arms of the very, very, very centralized government. It has become bloated, inefficient, in debt, warlike, immoral. An edifice to power that people fight over with votes and money.

There are some things in life that you can call a "truism". A universal truth that applies to most, if not all, situations.

Decentralization is valued by people who aspire to openness, fairness, privacy, honesty,  and respect for the individual and rights. Decentralization hinders corruption.

Centralization is valued by people who aspire for power over others, their property, their opinions, their lives. They love control of other people. They also love the illusion of security they get when they give up their freedoms and take other's.  Keeping that control then becomes the main goal.

These statements are truisms. You can see them work in almost any given situation. The more centralized something is, the more corrupt, inefficient, and slow it becomes.  The Soviet Union is the end result of Centralization. The United States will experience this soon enough(hopefully). BTW this also applies to companies, except when they become giant inefficient bureaucracies what do they do? They go to the centralized government and get bailouts and favors.

Using Crypto Currencies are a vote for decentralization. Voting in this ridiculous election is certainly not. It is a vote for a Centralized power to do favors for the voters, whatever that might be.  You can't have your cake and eat it too, they say. The current Federal Government and Crypto currencies are completely incompatible. If you believe Crypto is the future, but want to keep your Social Security, Medicare, Military, Socialized Medicine etc...... You are in conflict with yourself. Time to check your premises.
