The Poprad Climber Peter Hámor goes to the next expedition. Dhaulágirí Hill in the Nepalese Himalayas wants to get along with his team to the northwest ridge. He informed about it at a press conference.
"Meanwhile, the lineup is three," he said, adding that it includes climbers Horia Colibasan and Marius Gane, both from Romania. Also addressed was Michal Sabovčík, who still does not know whether he will go to the expedition or not. He still has a month to decide. "I have to report the final report to the Ministry of Tourism in Nepal on April 8," he said, adding that he could still be "moving" until then.

Since Sabovic, Colibasan, and Hamor stood at the top of Dhaulagiri, they were not only going to get them. "We want to try to climb a new way to the top. We had the plan in 2017 when we were there as a Slovak expedition," he said, adding that it was not possible for the weather to take them so much, so that it did not increase to try to climb the northwest ridge. "So let's try again this year," he said. The preparation started on March 10 with friends from the climbing section in Tatranská Polianka, where he started climbing. Their first goal is the Manaslu area, where they want to acclimatize, move and adapt to the Nepalese regime, especially mentally. "Then we move to Solo Khumbu. In this valley, there are excellent conditions for physical acclimatization," Hamor said, adding that they can get there quite high without the need to wear tents and caravan carriers. Up to an altitude of nearly 5,300 meters above sea level, he can sleep on the bed under his roof according to his other words. He noted that there are several hills that they would like to get out of as part of the acclimatization. They go to Kathmandu on April 8, two days later (April 10) they are planning to move to a base camp under Dhaulagiri. "I bought the ticket on June 3. I hope we will climb to the top and will not hinder me when I fly a little later, especially to make the weather," he said. Also this year, the weather forecast will be given to them by a Portuguese mountain meteorologist with whom Hámor has been working for more than ten years.
