So it’s been a while since I last made a withdraw on Publish0x. Last time I transacted was a few years back and I sent Eth to my MetaMask account. So I didn’t have any second thoughts, when setting up my new Eth address for my cold wallet.

A few days pass and I see the transaction is to be finalized on April 1st. Cool I can just sit back and check on that in a few weeks.

The first rolls around a check my wallet no transactions…….What is happening?

The devil is in the details!

I check back on Publish0x withdraw process page. Check to see if my Eth address is correct, it is. Then I scroll down further and then I see my mistake.

The Optimism Network is a Layer 2 scaling solution for the Ethereum blockchain, enjoying support from leading exchanges such as Binance, Bybit, KuCoin, BitGet, and more.

I forgot to look at the details. Layer 2 did not exist last time I had a payment. It makes since to send on layer 2 since there are lower fees.

So here we are, always read through everything if it’s been awhile, technology changes.

Update thanks to Igort I found the missing transaction. I didn’t withdraw to MetaMask so not able to just switch the network. But I checked https://optimistic.etherscan.io/

Also found some transactions that I forgot about.
