A matchup between two great Dutch players turned Manager van Bronkhurt (Rangers) and van Nistelrooy (PSV). Both teams are desperate to qualify for the champion’s league and get that money. The second leg match will be played in Philips Stadion in Holland. Leg is tied 2-2, losers go to Europa League.
PSV have been granted a week off of Eredivisie action and will be thoroughly prepared for the match. They are one of the most fun teams to watch in Europe atm as their games promise tons of goals. Somehow they have remained undefeated despite the defensive fragility. PSV have a good attacking trio in Luke de Jong, Cody Gakpo, and Ismael Saibri.
Rangers have finished runners up in Europa league and Scottish league last year and are looking to take the next step to silverware. They did well in the 2-2 draw at home in the first leg. However, Rangers have struggled on the road and only managed 1 win in their lat 11 away matches in Europe.
I think PSV are the better side, have a week of preparation, and are at home. I like them to win 2-1 in a subdued but convincing match.
