PSV are fresh off a 5-3 Victory vs Ajax in the Johan Cryuff Shield match and a close call in European qualifying vs Monaco. I think the matches encapsulate what PSV is all about: great counter attacking play and some suspect defending. The lads have scored 18 goals in 5 games this season and conceded 9! Somehow they have remained undefeated despite the defensive fragility. PSV brought in Luke de Jong, Guu Til, and Xavi Simons to bolster an attack that already featured Bakatoko and Gakpo during the transfer season

Rangers are buzzing off a thrilling 3-0 comeback victory vs Union Saint-Gilloise after losing the first leg 2-0. Rangers have finished runners up in Europa league and Scottish league last year and are looking to take the next step to silverware. Rangers have splashed the cash a bit bringing in Ben Davies, Rabbi Motondo, and Ridvan Yilmaz. They look a solid unit that aren’t going to be sexy, but quietly get the job done. I think rangers will defend well at home. The manager will be familiar with PSV and I think they can stifle the PSV attack.

I think PSV are the better side, but I like Rangers to keep it close and draw at home.
