The 2026/27 Premier League season is actually here and Arsenal have the most pressure to defend their English title as champions.

Arsenal won 3-0 against Manchester City in the community shield, giving Gunners supporters the faith needed to start the season.
While it’s easy to forget how dominant Manchester City were last season, Manuel Pellegrini has replaced Pep Guardiola and Manchester United have hired Michael Carrick after returning to Champions League football.
Last season’s Premier League Title was the first in 30 years for the Red Devils. In the absence of Premier League and Champions League football Liverpool also need to defend their international credentials and will go through a lot of change after star player Salah left.
Arsenal’s biggest competitions for the title look to be Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs have had a busy transfer window with links to City stars Omar Marmoush and Savinho.
The transfer window is long, and a lot can happen before it closes. Arsenal’s goal this season is clear: win the title again.
