As always, it is an exciting weekend and even more exciting with the amount of club football games today. Premier league actions kick off later today with the Everton vs Arsenal fixture setting the tone. Coming up later tomorrow is the Watford vs Man United fixture as United aim to continue mounting pressure in the top 4 race.
Watford are on the lowest point this season, sitting bottom of the league table. They are seriously battling relegation at the moment and any point would be good for them. They will be hosting Man United at home later tomorrow and will be hoping to get a positive result that would aid them in their quest for survival this season.
Expected formation and tactics – Watford will be expected to set up in a 4-4-2 formation. A very crucial game for them and they will be doing everything possible to get their first win after so many games. Their gameplan will most likely be to be aggressive and play more counter-attack as they hope to capitalize on Man United desire to attack and keep more of the ball.
Man United started the season quite strongly with their 4-0 with against Chelsea at home but things later began to go downhill for them… However, they are beginning to regain their mojo and are now serious contenders in the top 4 race. They face Watford later tomorrow at the Vicarage Road a game that United are expected to get the job done. This is a crucial game for Man United as a win could see them go above Spurs in the top 4 race if Spurs loses against Chelsea tomorrow.
Expected formation and tactics – Man United will be expected to set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation. They are the more superior team here and will be looking to attack and dominate possession of the ball. Their gameplan will be to find spaces and try to capitalize on Watford’s poor form at the moment. This post can also be found on my scorum blog
