Yes! Yes!!... The long-awaited, much-anticipated and ever-exciting premier league matchday is here again, packed with lots of exciting fixtures. With so much excitement at the moment as lots of eyeballs will be on the West Ham vs Spurs fixture, to witness Jose Mourinho’s first match at Spurs. Coming up later today as well is another exciting fixture as Leicester City will be facing Brighton away at the Falmer Stadium, as they aim to continue their superb form at the moment.
Brighton are not having a great season and at the same time, they are not having a disaster season. They are currently sitting 11th on the table, 2points below 5th position. This is yet another difficult game for Brighton as they are going up against a team that is in a very good form. However, this is a game that they can win if they put up an excellent performance like they did against Spurs earlier this season.
Expected formation and tactics, Brighton will be expected to set up in a 4-4-2 formation. Their gameplan will be to not give Leicester City any time and space on the ball and also to prevent conceding counter-attacks while also looking to utilizing their qualities on setpieces and counter-attacks to hurt Leicester.
Leicester City are in a very good form at the moment and are on a run of 4 wins in a row. This game against Brighton is one of those games Leicester City are expected to come out with a win, however, this is a very tricky match for them as they can lose at Brighton if they don’t put in a top-level performance. Leicester City are the dark horse in the title race this season as they aim to keep putting pressure on Liverpool and the teams around them.
Expected formation and tactics, Leicester City will be expected to set up in a 4-3-3 formation. Their major aim in this game is to take all 3 points as they look to stay closer to the title race. Their game plan in this game will most likely be to attack and utilize their qualities in counter-attack to hurt Brighton. This post can also be found on my scorum blog
