It has been an amazing Xmas celebration, as usual with lots of merriments. Premier league actions kicks off today which is the usual Boxing Day premier league games. Arsenal is set to battle it out against Bournemouth at the Dean Court as Mikel aims for his first win as the new Arsenal manager.
Bournemouth looked like they’ve turned the situation around when they beat Chelsea, however, their honeymoon after that win didn’t last long as they are now back to losing ways. They have another chance at home against an Arsenal side who are not in great form at the moment and will be looking to add more salt to Arsenal’s injury. Bournemouth have shown that they can upset the top sides like we have seen this season and will be looking to make it difficult for Arsenal and Mikel Arteta and try get a positive result at home.
Expected formation and tactics – Bournemouth will be expected to set up in a 4-5-1 formation. Their gameplan will most likely be to stay very compact at the back and try to utilize their counter-attacking qualities and set pieces qualities to upset Arsenal.
Arsenal are really having a tough spell this season, they began the season on the high but it didn’t take long for things to begin to go downhill for them. They took the bold step to dismiss Emery’s duties as the Arsenal manager, but their decision haven’t proven fruitful yet as their situation hasn’t changed at all. They have decided to go another route by bringing in club legend Mikel Arteta with his experiences from working with Pep, to try and bring back restitution to the club. A tough match for Arsenal at the Dean Court, however, the Gunners have what it takes to get the job done.
Expected formation and tactics – Arsenal will be expected to set up in a 4-3-3 formation. This is Mikel Arteta first game as the Arsenal manager, however, we should be expecting him to have a lot of similarities with Pep in terms of formations and style of play.
