Saturday is here again and the ever-exciting premier league showdown kicks off in a few hours’ time. The biggest match of the week kicks off much later today as we anticipate an exciting premier league matchday. Liverpool who are yet to lose a game will be battling it out against Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium later today as they aim to continue their unbeaten run.
Spurs have finally found themselves back in the top 4 race after the top 4 race looked almost impossible few months ago before Jose Mourinho took charge as the new club manager. They are currently sitting in 6th position and are one of the favorites to finish in the top 4 this season. They face a very difficult battle at home against the league leaders as they continue to push for their targets this season. The odds are currently against Spurs to win at home, however, we all know that this is a big game and odds don’t really matter, it is what happens on the pitch at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium that matters. With this in mind, we should be expecting nothing less than a very difficult game for both teams.
Expected Formation and tactics… Spurs will be expected to set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation. They are playing at home and should be expected to come out to play, however, we all know what Jose Mourinho is all about which means that we are expecting a Spurs team that will be a bit more pragmatic and compact. Spurs have qualities in every areas of the pitch especially in attack, so they will be looking to utilize their qualities to try to get the job done.
Liverpool are flying at the moment and are in a superb run of form this season. AT the look of things so far, the premier league title is all in the hands of Liverpool to lose. They still remain the only premier league team that haven’t lost any game so far and have only dropped 2 points this season. They are very close to making history this season and are very determined to cross the finish line this time around after narrowly missing out last season. Nevertheless, there is still a lot of games still left to play and Liverpool need to be focused up till the last game of the season to ensure that their finally lift their first premier league title. Their quest continue later today against Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, a difficult game for them, however, the odds are in favour of Liverpool to get the job done in this fixture.
