An Exciting Clash as Man City Set to Battle It out Against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium

Premier league actions continue as there are lots of much-anticipated fixtures coming up. Yesterday was an interesting one as we witnessed a mix of unexpected and expected results. Coming up later today is the exciting and much-anticipated fixture as Man City who are looking to reduce the gap at the top will be battling it out against Arsenal at the Emirates stadium.

Arsenal are beginning to find their feet again, winning their last match after so many premier league games without a win. They are definitely out of the title race, but are definitely not out of the top 4 race as Chelsea have made the 4th position an open contest for the other teams below. The Gunners face a very difficult game at home against a strong Man City side who as we all know can demolish any premier league team on their day, so this is a huge task for Arsenal to continue their good form they displayed last week.

Expected formation and tactics – Arsenal will be expected to set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation. This is a game they want to get all 3 points if they want to continue fighting for the top 4. Their gameplan in this game will be to try to limit City’s threats and also to utilize their attacking strengths to get the job done at home.

Man City are having a difficult season so far, and according to Pep, his team has never been 14 points behind before. This is a huge task for Pep and his Man City team to try to close the gap and fight for the title. They face another difficult test away from home against an Arsenal side who are beginning to find their league form. A crucial game for City as a loss would see them drop 17 points below Liverpool and that would probably mean game over for them in the title race.

Expected formation and tactics – Man City will be expected to set up in their usual 4-3-3 formation. For Pep, he will definitely want his team to grab all three points in order not to extend the gap at the top. Their gameplan as we all know will be to dominate possession and try to exploit Arsenal’s defensive weakness with their clever passing and attacking qualities.
