A Big Win for Wolves Against Arsenal at the Molineux Stadium to Prove Once Again Why They are the Top 6 Nemesis

It was one of the two premier league fixtures which took place, Wolves who have been regarded as the top 6 nemeses this season hosted for their return fixture, a game which became yet another prove to why they are regarded as the top 6 nemeses, as they devour the gunners at the Molineux Stadium.

Wolves have been in superb form this season, most especially against the big teams. They enjoy playing against the top sides and have gotten results in most of their games against the top 6 teams. Their home games have been really good so far, getting the job done in most of the home matches and this win against Arsenal adds to the good results they have gotten at the Molineux Stadium this season. They are not relenting on their target this season which is to finish as high as possible on the table, so for them, getting positive results till the final game of the season will be important for them.

Arsenal have been heavily involved in lots of ups and downs so far. They looked back on track few weeks ago, but their last 2 games has been downhill since. This loss now makes it back-to-back losses and has affected their top 4 chances, as they missed another opportunity to overtake Chelsea in 4th. The top 4 race has been a funny one and still very close as it is still open for any of the contenders to make it into the top 4.

Brief Post-Match Analyses

It was an amazing atmosphere at the Molineux Stadium, the fans were lively and excited for the game.

Wolves lineup in a 3-5-2 formation, while Arsenal lineup in a 4-2-3-1 formation. The game began and Arsenal were already looking in control of the game and having more of the ball, before conceding 3 goals in the first half to go out on the losing end.

Neves scored the first goal for Wolves in the 28th minute, a beautiful freekick to continue his amazing form this season.

Doherty doubled the lead in the 37th minute, a nice header to beat the onrushing goalkeeper and make the tie even more out of reach for the away team.

Jota sealed the victory few seconds before halftime, a fine shot from the left to beat the goalkeeper who had a touch on the ball, to put the tie to bed and ensure that they continue their amazing form against the top 6 teams.

Papastathopoulos scored the consolation goal for the gunners in the 80th minute, rising highest to head in a the ball into the net, to reduce the deficit, but was already too late.

It was a great win for Wolves, to continue their nemesis against the big teams this season especially at their ground, and a very disappointing result for Arsenal yet again, as they have now lost 2 straight matches in a row which has affected their top 4 chances. Nevertheless, the top 4 race is still very much open and will most likely go on till the final game of the season.
