The Story behind their success - Part III
I am concluding this series with one more interesting story. I believe you will enjoy it as well.
Mark Zuckerberg
Mark Elliot Zuckerberg was born on May 14, 1984, in White Plains, New York. His parents: Edward Zuckerberg, a dentist, and Karen Kempner-Zuckerberg, a psychiatrist.
from a very early age Mark was a student of learning. first coding steps took place at age 10–11, Mark created ZuckNet, a messaging program connecting his home and his father’s dental office, an early sign of his abilities.
His family invested in advanced tutoring for Mark. His father hired a private computer tutor (David Newman), whom Mark quickly outpaced with his programming skills. Mark attended and received a Prep School Education. Mark initially attended Ardsley High School, then transferred to the prestigious Phillips Exeter Academy, where he excelled in classical studies, mathematics, physics, astronomy, and led the fencing team.
Mark briefly attended Harvard for his college. I point out Harvard as a recent study ranks it as The #1 US COLLEGE for creating Billionares.
Fencing is an elite sport that is not afforded to many to participate in. Perhaps some of the finer details of fencing helped develop Mark into the success he is? What do you think helped shape Mark?
Summary
Thanks for taking this journey with me, this was as much about me learning more about my upbringing as it was theirs. My biggest economic misunderstanding from my upbringing was that people became wealthy from high salaries, geez was I wrong! Some others, I have overcome, include getting into the right club or the right neighborhood was considered to be a status symbol, but these days, the primary purpose of “controlled access” institutions is to keep the wrong people out! Keep learning and striving to be better in all aspects of your lives. You can accomplish whatever you put your mind to!
