Dear Younger Me

Dear Younger Me

An open letter to my younger self. Here are some life lessons to provide you a helping hand. I know time travel is not possible however, perhaps some of this advice can be assistance for some of you in your younger days!

Investing - Focus more on strategy and not be so tactical, build it out.

I wish I would have understood that Mutual Assured Destroyed (MAD) applied to more than just exchange of nuke weapons. The interconnected Global economy is weak and getting weaker.

Relationships - knowing people who are successful and allowing them to aid you in your development! Invest in the right people!

Skills and their categories and use

Career Skills I wish I would have paid more attention to the importance of Government Regulations such as (HIPPA, PII, and the new Cyber Regs being required in/around CISA.

Cashflow Skills - its important to invest in yourself outside of work for developing cashflow monthly, no matter how small.

Fitness

I wish I had discovered earlier on that Body Building is not useful fitness, I wish I would had discovered BJJ (Brazilian jiu-jitsu) earlier.  The focus on being powerful without advertising it enlightening.

Summary

Don't buy that first TV set, invest in skills of all sorts, work on those home projects, make a life outside of work! Don't be so hard on yourself for the small stuff, as you are human too.
